Hey does anyone out there know of a momentary-- (on)-(on) toggle switch? I have been searching far and wide to no satisfaction
Basically a switch with this action will be able to function like a normal toggle when using a joystick hack or a joystick controller. There are other options out there with opto isolators and relays. I basically would like simplify the whole process.
Thanks
John

Toggle Switch
I believe I have found all the information your looking for in refrence to momentary toggle switches. Here is the link, It really helped me in the planning of my cockpit. http://www.flightsim.com/cgi/kds?$=main/howto/toggle.htm
Thanks
Ive seen that after this post and an actual switch that performs this action has been ruled out. I was speaking with a VP of a company that produces switches, he is part owner of a carwash I service.
I explained the switch and even he wasn't aware of any switch that could perform that action alone. He did offer his services up to produce such a switch, yeah right not on my bargain basment budget LOL.

Plain Old Toggle Switches
Hagstrom Electronics provides a keyboard emulator that can handle normal toggle switches. The part that I chose is a KB-USB-108. It looks to the computer like a keyboard, joystick and mouse. When you program the board, there is an "on" signal and an "off" signal, allowing you to have different codes sent based upon what you want it to do. The keystrokes are sent at the "transition", and are debounced.
I am using that board, then my toggle switches (just POTS (Plain Old Toggle Switches) work the way I want them to. Additionally, I can use the momentary toggles for things like flaps, where you get an on-off-on, with the switch returning to the center position when you are not pressing it. I programmed one side for flaps down, and the other for flaps up.
I hope this helps.
Thanks Jim, I did give in
Thanks Jim,
I did give in and get a KE-72, great product. I still need to complete some key areas of my build before controls get integrated. And since this post I gave up on a (on)(on) toggle. seems there isn't such a switch.
Best,
John
