Rotated Screens

Looking at the F22 and other very new fighter cockpits, I have seen the trend to use 4x3 monitors for MFD's and to turn them to a portrait orientation, rather than the normal landscape orientation.  Software exists that will allow you to turn the monitor into a portrait mode, and I am wondering if anyone has tried to turn their monitors within FS?  I need to find out if the software to turn the monitors is compatible before spending the money on it.  Has anyone tried this yet?
The short question is this:  Will rotation software work within MSFS, or does Microsoft write to the screen in a more direct fashion that will preclude the use of screen rotation software?

Jim, I know Nvidia has the

Jim,
I know Nvidia has the screen rotation built into its driver suite. I have used it before and it worked out well. Are you planning on using flight simulator gauges for the MFD or project magenta?
If you are going to use FS Panel Studio along with WideView you may be able to rotate certain gauges.
Personally I have never used stand alone rotation software so my knowledge is limited as to functionality.

I will just try it.

I need to just try it.  I will be using a combination of MSFS and FSXpand.  Project Magenta is a bit too expensive for me.  I need to look at the PM MFD's again, but I have a feeling they are just going to be much too expensive.

It would be nice if FSXpand would be able to rotate the gagues on the screen, although, as I mentioned, there is a software package I can buy for $25.
